About this set
Groovy, catchy and extremely danceable: ‘Do My Thing’ proves that SONS aren’t afraid to revise their hardcore punk sound and to experiment. With an eye on broadening their musical horizons for the follow-up to 2022’s ‘Sweet Boy’, the band reached out to Dave McCracken. The British producer, known for the sexy groove on dEUS classic ‘The Architect’, has an impressive CV and has worked with Stone Roses frontman Ian Brown, Kanye West, Beyoncé and Depeche Mode. McCracken loved the band’s new demos, and after several visits to the band’s home base of Melsele (a small town near Antwerp known for its annual Miss Strawberry pageant) to help shape the songs, invited them to record in London.
