About FestMates

Festival line-ups and set times are curated from each festival's published programme and imported into our database, where they power the website and the app from a single source. Set times are always stored and displayed in the festival's local timezone.

Every festival page shows a schedule status (for example "full timetable published" or "line-up complete, set times pending") and the date its data was last updated. Genres are derived from each festival's actual line-up rather than self-description. Artist bios and photos come from MusicBrainz and Wikipedia, with the source credited on each page.

Facts we don't hold, like ticket prices, travel routes and camping rules, are never invented: festival pages link to the organiser's official FAQ for those.

The website is rebuilt from the live database on every content update and at least daily, so a corrected set time reaches the published pages within hours. The "last updated" date on each festival page reflects the most recent edit to that festival's data.

If a set time, stage or line-up entry looks off, tell us via the contact form and name the festival and act. Corrections are applied to the database and reach the site with the next publish. In the FestMates app you can also position a missing stage on the map yourself.
