About this set
Belgian psychedelic post-metal band Psychonaut has been a leading force in modern heavy music for years. Their traditional trio setup long masked the compositional power, narrative depth and intense live presence with which they keep renewing the genre. After their impressive breakthrough with Unfold the God Man (2020) and the spiritually charged Violate Consensus Reality (2022), the band played festivals including Alcatraz, Rock Herk, Boomtown, Soulcrusher, Roadburn Redux and A Colossal Weekend, and shared the stage with the likes of Amenra, Brutus and The Ocean. The new album World Maker came about when guitarist/vocalist Stefan De Graef became a father. That event brought a shift: from philosophical and spiritual themes to personal reflections and life lessons for his son, a musical legacy of love. The record breathes a rare optimism, with influences from world music, electronica and jazz, and guest contributions from Anthe Huybrechts (Anthe/Helion Creek) on tracks like Origins, which also features Indian tabla.
