About this set
Crouch is a three-piece consisting of Wim Coppers (Wiegedood, Oathbreaker, Rise And Fall, Living Gate, etc.) on drums, Jasper Hollevoet (Ventilateur) on bass, and Levy Seynaeve (Wiegedood, Oathbreaker, ex-Amenra, Living Gate, etc.) on guitar and vocals. Crouch first saw the light of day in 2023 with the self-released EP “Crouch”. Since the release, the band has toured with Russian bands and opened for the likes of Botch, High On Fire and Cave In, and performed at renowned festivals including Roadburn, Rock Herk and Desert Fest. Ready to take the next step in their journey as a band, Crouch proudly presents their first full-length album, titled “Breaking The Catatonic State”. Where the self-titled EP drew heavily from sludgy bands like Crowbar, Sumac and Neurosis, “Breaking The Catatonic State” has shifted drastically toward the more progressive side of the late 90s and early 2000s, with heavy music rooted in punk hardcore. Bands like Knut, Burnt By The Sun, Botch, Coalesce and others are cited as key influences.
