Dunk! Festival 2025

By 2025 the festival had grown into something rarer than a genre showcase. Mogwai headlined with the kind of authority only three decades of practice will buy, and Cult Of Luna’s set tipped the weekend hard into post-metal territory. Maybeshewill brought their euphoric crescendos back to a crowd that knew every drop, while The Necks closed out the quiet end of the spectrum with one of those long, hypnotic improvisations that only really make sense in a darkened room with a thousand other people listening. Smaller stages held space for harsh noise, drone and modern composition, the kind of bookings that say something about how much trust the festival has earned from its regulars.
