Born in 2006, rapper Vasil is one of the most exciting newcomers on the German underground rap scene. She has made her mark on the scene with a raw, unvarnished black-and-white aesthetic. In her lyrics (german), she explores personal experiences with post-Soviet migration, poverty, and psychological trauma. With a clear political stance against discrimination, she offers uncompromising criticism of the system. With her urgent voice and varied beats, she is considered one of the most important voices of her rap generation.
