VANDALISBIN went from playing street music alone at night as a teenager to becoming a jazz-trained musician and certified ensemble leader. Her name is a blend of “vandalism” and “lesbian” and stands for creative freedom, self-determination, and making music on her own terms. Blending soul, indie rock, and queer pop, she writes songs as a form of self-therapy, exploring identity, desire, internalized prejudice, and the contradictions of being human. VANDALISBIN combines vulnerability with defiance, carried by a voice that is raw, gritty, and deeply soulful.
