Two producers, one quietly shared idea of what music is for. thea & schtu cultivate a soft, swaying kind of house, the sort you meet with your eyes shut rather than your fists in the air. Both of them sing here and there, never making a big deal of it. Then, now and again, a punchy kick rolls in and the whole thing tips toward a proper party, though it’s just as happy not to. Feeling ties it all together.
