With its gruff, punk-infused sounds and lively English vocals with a pleasant German accent, the band captures the sense of hopelessness of an entire generation that’s somehow trying to cope amid the aftermath of “Letzte Generation”, the lingering effects of the pandemic, and political flip-flopping—all while being left pretty much on its own. Snowtrail certainly isn’t reinventing the post-punk wheel, but they keep it rolling. Straightforward, no-frills songs that thrive above all on the members’ unbridled energy.
