This talk explores two crucial topics affecting sex workers currently: the ongoing debate around sex work regulation in Germany, including possible changes and the concerns many sex workers have about them. It highlights why policies should be shaped by listening directly to sex workers and their lived experiences. The session also looks at how AI and deepfake porn are affecting sex workers today: – How are sex workers being affected by, or interacting with deepfake technologies and AI? – What are the harms that currently exist and what are the potential benefits? The findings of a yearlong research on this topic will be presented as well as what sex work activism stands for when it comes to policy making and legislation.
