This year, Pauline Schönfelder—aka Dilemma—is the same age her parents were when the country into which they were born simply vanished. Growing up with memories of a country that no longer exists. But how do you talk about something you haven’t experienced yourself? Schönfelder invites you to a concert, to dancing, to a cold buffet. In her wildest imagination, she reclaims the GDR—which she never knew—to discover the taste and sound of what no longer is. She repeatedly grapples with the shame of her own ignorance, with the gap between narrative, imagination, and lived experience. OST (Original Soundtrack) is a culinary concert performance and a collective exploration of what has become deeply ingrained as an emotional legacy. Everyday life, anecdotes, and autofiction fuel the soundtrack of an entire generation’s collective question mark—and ultimately point far beyond it.
