In Orlando, a copy without an original, a space emerges between fiction and biographical material. Orlando represents a process of becoming that cannot be fixed, a character who transforms across eras, genders, and landscapes. In our encounter with Orlando, we search for this self that is not complete but is in a state of constant flux. In the performance, dividing lines shift, become blurred, or are reassembled. Failure is always part of the process—not as an endpoint, but as a moment of deviation, sometimes as painful confusion, but always as a possibility. Hale Bo Enzo Richter invites the audience to join him on a journey of self-discovery—exploring one’s own process of becoming queer and whether community can provide support when fixed constructs of identity dissolve. language: german
