About this set
- Performance
Drawn together by a shared fascination for dissonant harmonies and experimental vocal sound, six singers founded the vocal ensemble Maradiuli in 2022. Their musical journey began with first concerts in and around Hanover, and has since carried their voices from intimate performances to the detect classic festival in 2023 and 2024, followed by the Rudolstadt Festival 2025 and Folk’n’Walde 2026. Maradiuli — Georgian for “”timeless”” — is dedicated to creating sonic spaces where past, present and future flow into one another. In their search for new forms of expression, they weave folk songs from across Europe together with playful improvisation, crafting timeless new works that invite you to lose yourself in vocal sound.
