Through aerial rope and live music, ‘drift’ is a contemporary circus performance that invites us to build a collective body. Playing with alternative audience perspectives, we explore how care, risk and connection can create a shared and intimate space. With three vertical ropes and live music, DRIFT explores what collectivity means. The performance is a collective experience and an exploration of the stage as a shared and intimate space between the audience and performers. The space becomes dynamic and fluid, as the audience can enter, leave, and participate in the unfolding events. The performance questions the space we occupy: When do we take and give space? Where do we position ourselves within a group? What makes us act together?
