An absolute highlight of the weekend: paired with Dandelion Soundsystem, the crew unleashes the “Rootsbase Experience,” a collaborative arena that is unmatched anywhere in Europe. On the turntables, tradition and the future fuse seamlessly. The selection by these self-proclaimed “Edutainers” covers the full spectrum of dub culture—ranging from rare roots reggae gems and heavy UK & Euro dub to driving steppers and exclusive, unreleased dubplates. As dedicated cultural activists, they carry their message and vibe far beyond the dancefloor, pushing top-tier, heavyweight productions from national and international artists on their own independent label, “Jah Chalice Records.”
