ELTERNABEND is when parents have to show up at school and sit through a lecture on why their son Fynn-Lasse wasn’t paying attention in Latin class – again and again. Sounds like a drag, right? The band Elternabend, on the other hand, is waaaaaaay more fun. They play hooky: they are all about punk, lyrics about free beer, head breaking pogo, and anti-fascism. And sometimes their music is almost kind of like rock ’n’ roll, with a slower tempo so you can catch your breath in between songs and take a sip of your beer.
