UK dub producer Ashanti Selah and roots reggae singer Dan I Locks share a long musical partnership. For this exclusive feature show, they are joining forces on stage. As a keyboardist and the eldest son of sound system legend Aba Shanti-I, Ashanti practically grew up at Notting Hill Carnival and touring across Europe. Today, following collaborations with heavyweights like Mad Professor and Alpha Steppa, as well as performances at major festivals like Rototom Sunsplash, he is considered a key figure for the future of conscious sound system music. Together with Dan I Locks (founding member of Deng Deng HiFi), they deliver a show where the music is the ultimate message: roots & culture, dub, and heavy steppers. It’s where late-70s foundation style meets modern bass lines and a profound message of peace, love, revolution, and spirit.
